Sacramento, CA [Dec.13, 2024] – Today, the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SACHCC) is hosting its 10th Annual Latina Estrella Awards. The event celebrates four remarkable Latinas who have made significant contributions to their fields and have helped reshape the narrative of what is possible for Latinas in the Greater Sacramento Region.

For the past decade, the SACHCC has presented the Latina Estrella Awards, growing the event into one of the region’s most anticipated and dynamic gatherings. This year’s celebration takes place at Project Sacramento in Old Sacramento, a local small business. The event not only honors four exceptional Estrellas but also supports local Latina-owned businesses. Marie Mertz, owner of Todo Un Poco, a Latina-owned bistro in Elk Grove, is excited to be part of the event: “Latina women of our community are recognized for paving the way as business owners, professionals, and hearts of the Latino community,” she said. Todo Un Poco blends Mexican and Italian cuisines into an unforgettable menu.

“Every year through the Estrella Awards, we highlight Latina leaders across industries who are redefining what is possible, “ says Cathy Rodriguez-Aguirre, President & CEO, SACHCC. “We hear their stories, learn of their triumphs and challenges, and leave inspired to redefine our own possibilities. It is a day of empowerment.”
