Sacramento, CA –, The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SACHCC) recognized four Hispanic/Latina Leaders from the Sacramento Region in the 7th Annual Latina Estrella Awards, an event that honored Latinas making an impact and imprint in our Greater Sacramento Region.

A day after recognizing Latina Equal Pay Day, four influential Latinas from the region were honored for making an imprint in our Greater Sacramento Region with the theme: The Present is Latina. This year, Latina Equal Pay day moved to December 8th due to the pandemic, and sadly showed that the pay gap for Hispanic women has increased to .41 cents for every dollar earned by a white male/female in the workforce.

“We are the demographic that is hard working and are striving to take leadership roles in every industry, said Cathy Rodriguez Aguirre, President, and CEO of SACHCC. “] We have the capacity to get things done and to lead our communities onward,” she concluded.

For the past seven years, the SACHCC has presented the Latina Estrella Awards, to recognize Latinas in the following categories: Rising, Inspiration, Champion, and Legacy as a way to lift Latinasin the region, and inspire young students and professionals by showing how other Latinas are paving the way.
